After the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the constitutional right to abortion with its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the Jewish community across the country and lawmakers here in NY have taken action to protect and expand this critical right by reframing abortion access as a religious freedom issue.

 

Award-winning director and producer, Paula Eiselt’s short film, “Under G-D”, is about the national Jewish response to the Dobbs decision. “Under G-D” premiered as an official selection of the 2023 Sundance Film festival. This short documentary follows the national Jewish response to the Dobbs decision, and how Jewish leaders are asking the United States to protect women, and democracy, by preserving the separation of Church and State.
