Dear Members of Temple Shaaray Tefila,

We are striving to be more creative and flexible to meet the spiritual needs of our community. From January 2021 through May 2021 we will be including the religious school children in our Kabbalat Shabbat Services on the 2nd Friday of each month. On January 8th, February 12th, March 12th, April 9th and May 7th we will have a zoom Oneg Shabbat for parents from the ECC from 5:15pm-5:30pm. There will be a Kabbalat Shabbat Service for ECC families from 5:30-6pm with Rabbi Wilfond and Kenny Green. From 6-6:30pm there will be an Oneg Shabbat social time for parents of a different school grade each month and then a Kabbalat Shabbat Service from 6:30-7:30pm for the entire congregation that includes the children lighting candles, singing Vehavata, and Kiddush and Motzi. The style of the service will be a standard community Shabbat service as we have enjoyed with Kenny Green since September. The 6:30pm-7:30pm Friday Kabbalat Shabbat Service will be meant for the entire community to join together. We hope you will find this a meaningful and inspiring way to celebrate Shabbat on the second Friday of the month.
