Thanksgiving Dinner Program

We need your help more than ever this year. Due to COVID-19 we will not be gathering in the TST social hall to chop, dice and cook for Thanksgiving. However, we still have to provide meals and groceries for thousands of people. We will be doing this in several ways as listed below. Please consider helping by registering in our sign-up genius in the link below. .

We ask you to:

  1. Cook individual meals in your home and package them in take out containers. An individual meal should consist of turkey (or chicken), either sweet potatoes or white potatoes (mashed or baked) a green vegetable and stuffing (optional). We are not focusing on all the typical accoutrements we normally include like dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, dessert, salad, drinks, etc.
  2. Donate raw ingredients so that we can assemble family grocery bags so that people can cook their own Thanksgiving meals. The ingredients are like those listed above in bullet one.
  3. Donate cash or supermarket gift cards which can be distributed to individuals and families so they can purchase their own Thanksgiving ingredients to cook. Click Here
  4. We will still need people to shop, pick up and deliver necessary groceries/meals and other items needed to assemble grocery bags. We anticipate needing people starting approximately one week before Thanksgiving, working through the weekend prior to Thanksgiving all the way up to and including Thanksgiving day to do these tasks and to potentially help assemble the grocery bags in a safe and socially distant manner.

So, please register on the sign-up genius link above and look for future emails with more details. Thank you very much for your help in the past and for your help going forward and please stay safe and healthy.
