Subject: Travel with TST in 5785! Israel, Argentina, Civil Rights
In the spirit of our fall holidays, and the High Holy Days just ended, we are planning for the Temple year and hope you can join at least one of our three exciting educational travel opportunities. Each trip will grow your relationship with TST members and our clergy!
Israel Solidarity Mission, January 18 to January 24, 2025 (with a pre-trip first-timer extension) Visiting Israel in these challenging times is a particularly impactful act of Jewish solidarity. In this brief yet intense amount of time, (with a pre-trip first timer extension), we will meet the people of Israel and enter their world in a meaningful way. This intense experience will carry from the trauma to hope, and impart a lifetime of memory. The visit is arranged by J2 Adventures, an agency with decades of experience in Israel and with the Israeli Reform movement. I will be leading the trip and you can email me at RabbiRoss@TempleST.org for more information.
Musical Jewish Heritage Journey to Argentina, February 15 to 24, 2025
Join Cantor Ines Szterenberg and members of the American Conference of Cantors to explore the sights, scents, spirit, and song of Jewish life in Argentina! This tour is arranged by Ayelet Tours, an agency with much experience in travel through our Reform movement. You can contact CantorInes@TempleST.org for more information.
The Civil Rights Journey: Selma, Montgomery, Birmingham, and Atlanta, February 27 through March 2, 2025
This extended weekend offers a Jewish perspective on the American historic experience. It is an opportunity to meet people who were involved in the struggle, walk the Pettus Bridge in Selma, tour the Rosa Parks Museum, the new National Memorial for Peace and Justice (lynching memorial), the Legacy Museum, and attend Shabbat services in Montgomery, and more. This is my fifth such trip, as organized by Etgar 36. Please contact me at RabbiRoss@TempleST.org for more information.
Travel with TST in 5785! Please consider joining us and let us know if you would like more information or have any questions.
I am grateful to our Temple leaders and staff for their support in organizing these meaningful and memorable travel experiences.
With continuing best wishes to you and yours as 5785 opens,
Rabbi Dennis Ross
