Young Family Service (children up to 5 years) | 9:15 am – 9:45 am – Main Tent

These services offer a complete High Holy Day service, including a Torah service. This service is designed to be musical, engaging and appropriate for both parents and young children.

High Holy Day Youth Program (Grades K – 5th) | 10:30 am – Side Tent – Check-in begins at 10 am

We will have a form to fill out to REGISTER YOUR CHILD HERE – Registration is required for this program.

Main Service | 10:30 am – Main Tent

Join Rabbi Ariel Boxman, Cantor Inés Szterenberg, Rabbi Ranata Shlobin, our choir and musicians for our traditional High Holy Day services starting at 10:30am.

Teenage Service (grades 6th – 12th) | 11:30am – Teen Tent

This is the coolest spot in town when our teens gather on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Great music and thought provoking service focused on reflection, forgiveness, and fresh starts for the New Year.

Second Day Rosh Hashanah

Sunday, September 13th at Shaaray Tefila Campus, 89 Baldwin Road.

Services on the Second day of Rosh Hashanah will be led by Rabbi Ariel Boxman, Cantor Inés Szterenberg and Rabbi Ranata Shlobin.

Tashlich Musical Service – Behind the Education Building | 11:15 am

Bring breadcrumbs to symbolically cast off the sins of the year with the congregation.

BAGEL BRUNCH FOLLOWED BY COMMUNAL PRAYER after Taschlich  |  11:45am 

Join us for a bagel, schmear, and coffee and start the new year with our community.

Our Yizkor Service will begin at 5:15 pm on Yom Kippur at the Sanctuary at Temple. If you wish to remember a loved one in the Book of Remembrance used at this service, please CLICK HERE before August 14th. All members of the community are welcome but a free ticket is required. Please request your tickets prior to 9/15.

Parking at Caramoor

Having hundreds of cars park quickly and safely is a big challenge. Please help us in the following ways:

• There are no parking passes. Your Digital Ticket or Print out, with your ID, is your admission to the parking area.
• Plan to arrive before services begin. In the event of inclement weather, it becomes even more essential that you arrive early as there is no covered area in which to wait while checking in.
• Handicapped parking is available. Please display a valid sticker or plate from your state.
• Please attend in one car per family. Large families taking more than one car to Caramoor must show tickets in each car.
• In light of our enhanced security procedures, we reserve the right to deny entry to anyone without ID or tickets.

Frequently Asked Ticket Questions

• I can’t find the email with my tickets!
  • Look for the sender “Simple Tix Orders,” email address“Orders@SimpleTix.com” in your email or the subject line “High Holy Days – Member Tickets – Order#12345 (your number will vary).” 
  • If you still can’t find it, email temple@templest.org for help and we will reissue tickets. 
  • If you are still looking and it is the holiday, please come to Caramoor or Temple with your ID out so we can look your information up before admitting you. You will be delayed in admission.
• What ID will I need at Caramoor or TST?
  • We’re looking for a Driver’s License or State ID card where your name matches the name on your tickets. Passports or Passport cards are also acceptable. 
• How do I provide a ticket to my adult child who doesn’t live at home, or my guest? 
  • You may forward the eticket to that person via email. 
  • Their name on the ticket must match their ID. 
• My Child doesn’t have Id or a ticket. What Do I Do? 
  • Children under 16 are not expected to have ID. Those over 16 but arriving with parents should have ID out if they have it, or parents will be able to bring their child in. 
• I don’t my use phone on the High Holy Days, or don’t want to use digital tickets.
  • Print your tickets at home, or contact the office at (914) 666-3133.

Seating

To facilitate the seating in the Main Tent, we ask that you please observe the following seating requests:

• As your family takes their seats, please do NOT save seats for friends and family members.
• If you have a part in a particular service, please either sit in the first 5 rows towards the front, or move forward 5 minutes before your part, when you’ll go onto the Bima.

Decorum

• No one is allowed to climb trees, destroy plants, or pick flowers on the Caramoor grounds.
• Running around the tents, and loud and raucous play are also not appropriate.
• Cell Phones and other electronic devices should not be used in any of the tents. Use of such devices in the fields outside of the tents is also discouraged, as noise or conversation may detract from the worship experience.
• While we encourage children to meet with their friends before and after services, we discourage the playing of cards and other games. Children should not leave the immediate main tent and Friendship field area (with the large C Statue.) For security purposes, we will stop anyone leaving the main area.
• Teens must stay in the main tent until it is time for their services and then proceed to the teen tent. For Security purposes we do not allow teens or children to roam the grounds unaccompanied.
