Encouraging a Safe Haven for Women & Girls in Greenwich CT

In addition to our wide variety of fitness classes, educational summer camps, and youth sport programs, at YWCA Greenwich, we are dedicated to empowering both women and girls in our community. As an advocate to end to emotional and gender-based physical violence, we offer comprehensive counseling, divorce support groups, and immediate assistance domestic abuse services. When you need someone you can turn to, YWCA Greenwich provides knowledgeable counselors and professional support services.

At YWCA Greenwich, our caring and compassionate staff works hard to provide a wide range of domestic abuse services including community education seminars and partnerships with other service providers in the Greenwich, CT area. As a result, our organization can provide those seeking help with finding individual counseling, divorce support groups, mental health services, children’s services, housing, and more.

If you or someone you know is going through a separation, divorce, or is in a toxic relationship, we can help. From safety planning to seminars for those in the law enforcement, healthcare, and education sectors, we strive to help those in the Greenwich, CT area understand and respond appropriately to help those who lives have been affected by domestic abuse.

Meet Meredith Gold, Director of Domestic Abuse Services

Meredith Gold, LMSW has been with Domestic Abuse Services of the YWCA Greenwich since 2006. During that time, she has provided direct services to victims of domestic violence as well as community engagement through collaboration, networking and training in Greenwich and throughout Fairfield County.

Prior to joining Domestic Abuse Services, Meredith was the Community Outreach Coordinator and Head of Program Development at The Champions Mentoring Program of Bridgeport, Connecticut, a regional school and community-based program for children whose parents are incarcerated.

Meredith was also Director of Youth Programming at the Greater Hartford Jewish Community Center in Connecticut and Youth Director at Sinai Temple in Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Connecticut and her Masters in Social Work at Fordham University.
