The Temple Shaaray Tefila community has been preparing and providing thousands of Thanksgiving meals for those in need, for over 20 years.
This has become a signature program, in partnership with the greater Westchester community, that has touched the lives of our neighbors as well as the hundreds of volunteers who make it happen.
We need you to help make this effort successful. From volunteer captains, sous chefs, check-in staff, schleppers and drivers to home cooks and donors - everyone can participate at all ages. All members of the community are welcome, from all faiths and walks of life.
In order to ensure the security of everyone participating - you must sign up on the website prior to coming to the Temple. Please leave your personal bags and backpacks in the car. Please bring food packages to the area behind the social hall/kitchen. Unexpected visitors will be questioned by our security team. Thank you for understanding and participating.
We start collecting donations, food organization and preparation on Friday 11/17 & Saturday 11/18
Cooking begins on Sunday 11/19.
Also on Sunday 11/19 we’ll host our annual Interfaith service with the Westchester Youth Alliance and multiple local congregations of different faiths.
If you are not available for our exciting opening day of team activities, then come join us by signing up for Monday and/or Tuesday, and/or Wednesday and/Thursday, November 20 - 23.
It's Tikun Olam, Baby - Heal the World.
