Tisha B’Av Film and Discussion: Crash
Wednesday, July 22nd, 7 PM
Join Rabbi Ariel Boxman and Rabbi Ranata Shlobin for an evening of film, reflection, and conversation in observance of Tisha B’Av.
We will watch the Academy Award-winning film Crash, which explores prejudice, misunderstanding, and the ways fear and bias can divide communities. Together, we will reflect on the Jewish concept of sinat chinam (baseless hatred) and its connection to the destruction of the Second Temple. Following the film, Rabbi Boxman and Rabbi Shlobin will lead a discussion connecting the themes of the movie to Jewish tradition and the lessons of Tisha B’Av. Join us for an evening of thoughtful conversation, learning, and reflection. RSVP Required
