As Reform Judaism began and grew in Europe and the United States in the 19th and early 20th centuries, our movement’s founders experimented with a spectrum of possibilities and many carry on today. “When Shabbat Was on Sunday: The Rise and Growth of Reform Judaism,” will explore the origins of our movement, including the re-introduction of instrumental music, replacing B’nai Mitzvah with confirmation, moving Shabbat services to Sunday, and other experiments and innovations. Join Temple members and Rabbi Ross, Mondays November 3 and 10 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM for a look at our past and lively discussion. Bring your own lunch. The Temple will provide beverages.
