Our Foundation, Our Future

As we approach our 50th anniversary and look to the future, Temple Shaaray Tefila stands at a pivotal moment. We are embarking on a critical $6 million dollar fundraising campaign goal over five years — of which $3 million dollars has already been raised — to preserve the strength of our community and build a stable future. This initiative will allow us to execute a strategic vision to ensure our synagogue remains a vibrant hub for generations to come.

OUR ASK

With a goal to raise an additional $3 million, we need your support to ensure Temple Shaaray Tefila remains a strong, vibrant and welcoming home for generations to come.

Your contribution of $1,800/year for five years can help TST accomplish the following:

  • Maintain our prayer books, torahs and torah ornaments.
  • Assist members who cannot afford full dues or religious school.
  • Support our local community and members in need through social action, Tikkun Olam.

Naming opportunities are available starting at $5,000/year for five years.

Like many religious institutions today, we face significant challenges at TST. Against a background of rising antisemitism, we must maintain centuryold buildings, manage increasing security costs, and adapt to shifts in our membership. Yet, despite these obstacles, TST remains a beacon of enduring tradition, a place that continues to embody our rich history and shared values.

This multi-year fundraising campaign will strengthen and sustain our Kehilla Kedosha far beyond our 50th anniversary in 2026.

Religion may be on decline in this country and in the West, but if you wish to see the full panoply of human life, moments of ecstatic joy and deepest sorrow, the summit of hopes and the connections of community, they exist concentrated in one place: your local house of worship.

Rabbi David Wolpe

Founded in 1976 and rooted in our legacy of Tikkun Olam, we have been a pillar of hope and purpose—extending our impact far beyond our walls and our grounds. Today we are a multigenerational, inclusive, vibrant and diverse congregation.

At TST, we are deeply committed to:

  • Educating children and adults alike, with record enrollment in our Early Childhood Center.
  • Addressing antisemitism and hate
    through programming and collaborations.
  • Feeding the hungry through our active social action programs.
  • Partnering with multi-faith organizations to foster unity and understanding.
  • Supporting those in need, from comforting the sick and grieving to celebrating life’s joyous moments together.

To continue thriving, we need your pledge.
Your support will help us retain and grow our congregation while giving us the financial flexibility to invest in long-term strategic options such as:

  • Community outreach and marketing to attract new members and strengthen our congregation.
  • Capital improvements to make our buildings more energy-efficient and resilient, reducing ongoing maintenance costs and enhancing sustainability.
  • Education for our adults and children with expanded programming to address antisemitism, foster partnerships with organizations like the ADL and AJC, and bring influential speakers to our community.
  • Growth and innovation. Exploring strategic opportunities to build TST for the next 50 years.
