January 18, 2024Delivering Groceries – UPDATED March 2024
Volunteer sandwich makers needed for those in need. There is a small group still making and delivering sandwiches ever since we started this program in April 2020. This need continues because the need has TRIPLED! You can make sandwiches as often or as infrequently as you like! We also need a new driver for Fridays. The time requirement is about an 1 1/2 hours for the drivers depending upon where you live.
Many people will be grateful and you will feel good performing Tikkun Olam! If you want to help please contact Ira Russo BY TEXT at 914-329-0067 or Betty Schulman BY TEXT at 914-262-5891.
We are in need of a few more wonderful volunteers to help deliver kosher groceries to elderly seniors in Northern Westchester. The groceries are pickup at the temple twice a month on Thursdays and are delivered locally. There are typically 1-3 deliveries to be made with multiple drivers on hand. It is not a huge time commitment and it’s a nice way to give back and feel like you have helped someone in need! Please contact Ira Russo at (914) 329-0067 or Lauren Tuchman at mltuch@optonline.net if you would like to join our group of supportive and caring volunteers.
