Israel Trip 2026 Update
August 28, 2025Preparing for the High Holidays: Slichot, September 13th, and Café Shaaray, September 14th.
Beyond planning to spend time with family and keeping traditions around home celebration, “Preparing for the High Holidays” includes a spiritual dimension that we honor at Temple Shaaray Tefila, as we turn to the ways Jews have welcomed the New Year through the ages.
The Slichot service, Saturday, September 13, at 7 PM, led by the Cantor and me, will reintroduce the prayers, music, and themes of the High Holiday season. Light refreshments will follow.
The next morning, our rabbinic intern, Ranata Shlobin, will join the two of us for a Café Shaaray hour of reflection and song, Sunday, September 14 at 10 AM. Light refreshments will be served.
The High Holiday season is a time for gathering with our Temple Shaaray Tefila community as we, together, look back and look ahead. As we close a Jewish year filled with so many challenges, we hope you join us to offer and take comfort and hope in our congregational circle.
With best New Year wishes,
Rabbi Dennis Ross
