Rabbi Ross’s Message, 8/29/25
August 27, 2025
This year, we are introducing digital tickets for High Holy Day services to help reduce paper waste, save on postage, and enhance both convenience and security for everyone. We understand that this is a change from past years, and we want to make the transition as smooth and stress-free as possible.
A Clarification: We need your email address updated in ShulCloud to send your tickets. You do not have to do anything else in ShulCloud to obtain tickets (except to ensure your yearly membership commitment is fulfilled by payment or schedule.)
How Digital Tickets Work
- Your High Holy Day tickets will arrive via email around September 8–10, 2025. Tickets are sent afterwards in batches.
- These tickets can be saved to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, just like airline or concert tickets.
- Once saved, they’ll be accessible without needing Wi-Fi or cell service.
Prefer not to use your phone on the holidays? No problem. You can also print your tickets at home from your email.
Can’t Find Your Tickets?
- Check for an email from “SimpleTix Orders”
- Sender:
orders@simpletix.com - Subject: “High Holy Days – Member Tickets – Order #12345”
- Sender:
- Still can’t find it? Email us at temple@templest.org and we’ll resend it. Tickets go to one member of the household – please ask your spouse or partner if they got the tickets.
- If it’s the day of services and you’re still unsure, come with your ID and we’ll look you up at the gate.
Need Help? We’re Here for You
We know technology isn’t everyone’s favorite, and that’s okay. If you’d prefer printed tickets:
- Call or email the Temple office to request printed tickets by September 8th, and we’ll mail them to you.
- You may also pick them up in person at the Temple office.
- We will also offer ticket help in person during:
- Shabbat services on September 12 & 19
- Slichot, Saturday evening, September 13
Parking Passes
Parking passes arrived by mail as part of your Temple Topics newsletter in early September.
- If you forget yours, your digital ticket will also serve as your parking pass. If your out-of-town guest doesn’t have a parking pass, they can show their ticket.
Why the Change?
Digital tickets help us:
- Save on printing and postage
- Use less paper, in line with our values
- Speed up check-in
- Match IDs to tickets, increasing security for everyone attending
For Your Guests or Adult Children
- You may forward a ticket via email to any adult guest.
- The name on their ticket must match their ID for entry.
- Children under 6 do not need a ticket.
- Children under 16 do not need ID; those over 16 should bring it, if available.
Key Dates to Remember
- By August 15: Renew your membership to receive a free guest ticket.
- By September 1: Please make sure your email address is up to date in ShulCloud, or call the office for help.
- By September 8: Request printed tickets if needed.
- September 8–10: Digital tickets are sent via email.
- After September 8th- tickets are sent in batches, as people send their membership contributions.
We truly appreciate your patience and cooperation as we make this change together. Our goal is to make attending services safe, seamless, and welcoming for all.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Wishing you a peaceful and meaningful High Holy Day season,
