Celebrate the eight days of Hanukkah with our Shaaray Tefila family!

Our programs will focus on eight middot (values), each providing a special theme for the day.

Note: There will be a virtual candle lighting each night at the start of the program. The Zoom link will be the same for every Hanukkah program this week.



Night #1: Thursday, December 10th at 5:30pm

Night #3: Saturday, December 12th at 5:30pm

Before our wine and cheese program, please join us for a brief Havdalah service followed by a menorah lighting - via zoom.

After our Havdalah and Menorah Lighting: Celebrate Hanukkah through the tastes of Israel: a unique at-home wine and cheese tasting! Learn about the regions of Israel and taste specially chosen wines from those regions.

We all know Judah Maccabee but few know about Judith, who defeats the Greek General Holofernes. This story is not in our Bible, but appears in the Apocrypha. Come learn about Judith who knew the secrets of Wine and Cheese and became a hero.

Join us for a musical outdoor in-person candle lighting. Our Shaaray Tefila teens are building a giant electric menorah!

Join us for a streamed film screening and discussion of Shared Legacies: a look at the alliance of African Americans and Jews in the Civil Rights Movement.

Night #6: Tuesday, December 15th at 5:30pm

Bring in the Or Ochel אור אכל the Light of Soul Food, with the TST community. Together we will light the menorah and as the candles burn, Sharon Feldman will teach us how to cook a classic Hanukkah meal via Zoom. Sharon loves to cook a special meal for her family each night of Hanukkah. Enjoy cooking together one of her festive meals as we celebrate Hanukkah! RSVP to Sharon if you are able to join the cooing fun, just want to watch or you have any questions about the meal. Wisdom for Hanukkah. Mindful Torah with Rebbetzin Deborah Wilfond. Finding the Hidden Light. This Hanukkah, the darkest time of year in a year like no other, how can we find spiritual light? How can we re-connect with our inner selves and support others experiencing challenges? In this session we will explore some texts on Chanukah themes and we will practice together to strengthen the light which is within each one of us. All are welcome. Texts will be provided. No prior knowledge of Hebrew needed, only a curious mind and an open heart.

Celebrate the last night of Hanukkah with your Temple community. There will be a virtual community menorah lighting at 5:30pm!

Due to the expected snow and ice - we regret that we must cancel our Drive-In Menorah Lighting. But we look forward to seeing you on Zoom for a musical virtual lighting!
