Welcome to Temple Shaaray Tefila of Northern Westchester

A Reform Congregation with a traditional soul

Temple Shaaray Tefila is a Reform Jewish congregation, where we celebrate, observe, and affirm the most worthy values and ideals of our Jewish tradition. We welcome all who embrace our purposes, recognizing that each of us is called upon to confront the essential Jewish notions of God, Covenant, mitzvah, and tzedakah.

Whether you are a member or just browsing, we invite you to look at the array of programs and services we offer. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the main office: 914-666-3133.

Community News

Westchester 2009 JCC Maccabi Games, will be here before we know it.  This Olympic-style sporting/community service event for Jewish teens is coming to Westchester this summer, August 16-21. This will be the most important Jewish community event in 2009 and we need your help. The Games' organizers still need more than 1,000 volunteers to assist with everything from serving lunch to the athletes to chaperoning at evening events to assisting at the Day of Caring and Sharing community service activities. Whether you have a few hours, a day or an entire week, we need your help. Host families are also still needed to house visiting athletes. Click here here for detailed information on what you can do.

In addition to helping during the Games, the entire Westchester community is invited to attend the grand Opening Ceremonies at Madison Square Garden on August 16, as well as all sporting events throughout the week, free of charge. Click here for more information.
