School Supply Drive – Running until July 26th, 2024
July 18, 2024Looking for a Leader to Oversee the TST Garden Project!
July 18, 2024Kalaniyot Tamid (Memorial Garden)
This incredible project was initiated by Israeli ceramic artists, to commemorate the victims of the October 7th terror attack. We will echo this initiative and connect to our brothers and sisters in Israel by making Kalaniyot (anemones) out of clay. These flowers will be installed in a memorial garden on our temple grounds this Fall.
Clay Workshop: August 8th
In the hands-on session we will learn how to create a Kalanit (poppy like) flower from potters’ clay. No previous experience is necessary to participate! The flowers will be fired in a special pottery kiln and will be painted during separate events.
Please rsvp to socialaction@templest.org f or the Clay Flower making so we have enough materials available. Lite bites will be served. Sponsored by Sisterhood.
Flower Painting: August 23rd at the Welcome BBQ (5-6:30pm) and September 8th at the Back to School Event. Time TBD.
Join us at one of the two community events in which we will host a hands-on session focusing on glazing (coloring with glass-like colors) pre-made Kalaniyot. The glazed flowers will be fired in a special pottery kiln and will later be part of a community memorial installation.
