High Holy Days 2024/5785 - Frequently Asked Questions

Can we invite extended family members and/or friends to our worship services?

We encourage you to invite your out-of-town family and friends to join with us, as our guests, and celebrate the start of 5785. This is a wonderful way for us to showcase the beauty of our High Holy Day services and welcoming nature of our congregation.
Please use this link to register all extended family and out-of-town guests who are not temple members.

How do I include my loved ones in the Yom Kippur Book of Remembrance?

If your loved one has been in our Book of Remembrance in the past, or if you have lost a loved one since last High Holy Days, your loved ones are already included in our list for this year and YOU DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT those names again. Click HERE to see the full list organized alphabetically by family name.
If you do need to add a loved one’s name, please click here and complete the form so that we can add your loved ones to the Book of Remembrance. All information is due by Wednesday, August 24th.  This Form is Now Closed.

How do I get a prayer book or the Book of Remembrance if I am participating virtually?

If you are participating virtually in our main services, a set of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Mishkan Hanefesh Prayer Books are available for pick up. For family services, you may pick up the Family booklet. The Book of Remembrance, a 5785 calendar and yahrzeit candles will also be on offer.

All books are available for pick up at Temple Shaaray Tefila, September 23rd-30th, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (noon). Distribution will be  in the main office vestibule. Please do not park and block the circle as it is against fire code. Anyone unable to walk from the handicap parking lot or their car should call the office at 914-666-3133 and we will be waiting for you.

If you are participating virtually and not able to pick up the prayer books, and would like us to arrange for them to be brought to you, please call our office at 914-666-3133.

How may I attend virtually?

Services are in person at Caramoor and the Temple. All services will be streamed via our LiveStream page. The password will be sent to all congregants via our email newsletters. Streams are passworded for your security.
