DESCRIPTION:Scott Fried is an educator\, international award-winning speaker and writer. As a person living with HIV for over 37 years\, he survived that 20th Century pandemic\, where his HIV/AIDS support group became the inspiration for the Broadway musical “RENT.” He is the author of four books for teens and parents of teens. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn addition\, Scott is an adjunct professor at Colby College where he teaches a popular class called “AIDS and the Meaning of Life.” In his spare time\, he leads civil rights tours through the American south\, teaching the history of MLK.  Scott lives in New York City with his noisy beagle\, Galileo.

You will be able to access our calendar\, register for events\, pay temple fees and more. We will launch in late April. \nWe encourage you to update your profile and add a photo before we launch. See the instructions below.  \nThe app contains a comprehensive Membership Directory. The directory is password protected\, so only members may access it. We envision the directory helping class parents\, encouraging new friendships and connections\, and assisting staff and clergy better recognize our members. \nTo ensure our Membership Directory is accurate and complete for the app’s launch\, we kindly request you update your profile and add a picture by April 25th. Here’s how you do that:  \nTo update your profile on a desktop computer (not yet available on the app)\, navigate to: https://shaaraytefila.shulcloud.com/member  \n(Note: If you don’t recall your ShulCloud password\, there’s a link to reset it.) \nYou can follow the instructions below to update your information. SUMMARY:Emergency Shelter Partnership
DESCRIPTION:Temple Shaaray Tefila is a founding member of the Emergency Shelter Partnership\, a consortium of houses of worship that that provide meals and shelter for our homeless in the winter. \nWe are asking for volunteers to cook and serve a dinner\, provide breakfast\, or make lunch sandwiches for 20-25 guests during our hosting week. Dinner meals are cooked at home\, brought in hot and served buffet style at about 8:45 pm.  If you choose to cook and serve dinner you will  be partnered with another family.  Breakfast and lunch can be dropped off any time before 9pm at the Temple for the next morning. \nIf you are able to participate in this mitzvah\, please sign up using the SignUpGenius .  If you have any questions feel free to contact Enid at  enidlinden@gmail.com
