Shabbat Evening Services

Family Sabbat Experience (September - June) On the first and second Shabbats of the month, we offer Family Shabbat services in both the new Jewish Heritage Center (1st Shabbat at 6:30pm), and the main sanctuary (2nd Shabbat at 8pm). All services are highly participatory, full of energy and music, accompanied by guitar and percussion. The first shabbat is geared toward our youngest children. The second shabbat features our Junior Choir, led by music master Kenny Green. On this Shabbat, we also celebrate our monthly children's birthdays, as well as upcoming B'nai Mitzvah. At the conclusion of our family services, our Oneg Shabbat provides congregants with a wonderful setting for sharing stories and greetings in the joy of Shabbat.

Shabbat in the main sanctuary (September - June) - Our Shabbat evening service is held each Friday at 8pm in the Temple’s main sanctuary and features the melodies, warmth, and spirit that our congregants have long cherished. Most services include a reading from the weekly Torah portion and a sermon by one of our rabbis. At the conclusion of services, join us for our festive Oneg Shabbat, which provides all with a wonderful setting for joining with other congregants for nosh and sharing.

Shabbat Under the Stars (July - August) - During the summer months, join us for services on our patio at 7:45pm, and welcome Shabbat through song and prayer surrounded by nature.

Shabbat Morning Services

Shabbat Torah Study and Minyan - Join us on Shabbat morning at 9:15 am in the Cultural Enrichment Center (CEC) as Rabbis Nevarez and Bergman takes you through our Torah narrative each week. (For a look at the schedule for the remainder of 2008 please click here schedule. In addition, our eclectic and highly educated lay participants always have something to add.

Minyan - The Torah Study session is preceeded at 9:00 by a short Shacharit service.

Shabbat Morning in the Main Sanctuary Services - are held Saturdays at 10AM in the main sanctuary on weeks when B’nai Mitzvah are celebrated.

Shabbat Afternoon Services - these services are held Saturdays at 5:00 PM (September-June) on weeks when B’nai Mitzvah are celebrated in the afternoon. Services conclude with Havdalah.

Kaddish is offered at each of our Shabbat services for anyone who would like to commemorate a loved one.
